RemoteWatch PLUS

RemoteWatch Plus 5.1 is the same reliable and time tested software that has been available to the security industry for years now, but with the new PCI based MegaMotion compression card. This means 40% more compression for faster remote updates, 40% less disk space for recording and 40% more customer satisfaction for the finished product! Other advantages are faster recording (9 camera multiplexer instead of 4 camera) and a 3x3 camera screen instead of octal view. All of this at 0% extra cost! That's right, the RemoteWatch Plus is priced exactly like RemoteWatch Pro!

You must use Win95 with this application and VGA resolution 800 x 600 at 16-bit or 24-bit colour

Each set of the software is copyright protected and allowed to install ONE time only. Software can be un-installed and moved to a different Hard drive multiple times. Manually delete the c:\remwa folder after uninstalling the software.

NOTE: The new 5.1 software version is NOT copyright protected and can be installed as many times as needed for the Transmitter software ONLY. The Receiver software is still software lock protected for TWO installations only.

Please leave all diskettes in NON write-protect mode during the installation.

The default supervisor password, in lower case, is asl.

RemoteWatch PLUS only has two video sizes. Size 1 is 176 x 120 and Size 2 is: 352 x 240. Video quality is from 1 to 5. RemoteWatch Plus video quality settings are different from RemoteWatch Pro settings. Check for individual settings.

Make sure MegaMotion PCI board is installed on the first PCI slow on the motherboard. No more than two PCI devices can be installed at the same time.

Quad mode recording is now possible in size 2, even though size 1 is being displayed.

Nine cameras (3 x 3) are being displayed instead of octal view. Again, recorded video size is independent from displayed size.

Changing from single to quad or 3 x 3 mode does not affect the size or quality of the recorded picture. Changing size or quality by use of the size/quality icons will change the recorded size and quality.

Compression has been improved by approximately 40%, resulting in faster video transmission and less hard drive requirement. Make sure to use the correct "Hard Drive Storage Calculator" worksheet for accurate results.

File length is limited to 25 minutes or less when "audio record" is checked. 5 minute files are recommended for faster download.

ImagePro can be run on Transmitter systems with RemoteWatch PLUS since the colour palette is set to 16 or 24 bit already.

Video Input BNC in back of the PCI MegaMotion board is de-activated. Do not use

Output BNC is active and will display video when in single camera or sequential mode. Do not use this output when displaying video in quad or 3 x 3 mode.

RemoteWatch PLUS is not compatible with RemoteWatch Pro 4.3 RS Receiver software. Only use RemoteWatch PLUS 5.0 RS software or higher.

NOTE: ASL has released the version 5.1 software upgrade to our new RemoteWatch PLUS software package. This is released as of March 18^th, 1999. The new features include:

Login password is no longer required to start RemoteWatch PLUS. Double-click on the icon at the Windows desktop and it will automatically open the program.

A supervisor password is required when:

Accessing the General Set-up and Phone Directory panels
Changing the settings of the Pre/Post alarm record
Switching modes (CCC, Tx or RX)
Stopping recording
Deleting files while off-line or on-line
Exiting the program

Note: The same supervisor password is used for all functions listed above.

The manufacturer pre-set password is lowercase asl.

The 'Disable Login' check box is removed from the Site Information panel.
For your convenience, Video Size, Quality and View Mode selection are added to the Site Information, Video/Camera Information, Input/Output devices, and Pre/Post alarm record panels.
For better access, the new calendar form is added to the file search function in the Playback screen.
