DigiCorder Specifications
Hardware:
The DigiCorder is a PC based, 4 Camera, and Digital Video Recorder. The enclosure is a industrial case with a hinged, lockable front cover and the following hardware:
- P200 or better motherboard and processor
- 32 MB RAM
- 6 or 12 GB hard drive depending on model Basic or Deluxe
- PCI MegaMotion Card with S3/775 SVGA Card
- 4 Camera AVIA
- Keyboard and Mouse
- Hardware and software Watchdog
- Diskette with "local playback only" software
- Optional Modem or Network card for remote look-up or video download.
Features in this product will be limited in order to make installation and operation simple for the dealer and end-user.
Software: Software can be accessed in one of two security levels protected by passwords.
- Exit is password protected
- The Main Screen has the following options for the users:
- Status Icon (record on)
- Setup Icon (password protected)
- Playback Icon (for playback)
- Copy Icon (to copy files to High Capacity Floppy or other media)
- Alarm Indicator and reset button
- The Set-up Screen will allow the user to set up the following functions:
- Camera record mode
- Single View
(record only Camera 1 from 1 picture
per hour up to 26 pictures per second.)
- Sequence view
(sequence 1-4 cameras with adjustable
dwell time (from 1 picture/hour up to 26 pictures per second).
- Quad View
(4 camera Multiplexer mode, record at 4
or 8 pictures per second.)
- Either mode will allow the user to adjust:
- Picture size 1 or 2 and Quality settings from 1-5
- Scheduled record (by day, 1 on/off time per day)
- Based on these settings, the software will calculate the total
Record time possible for the hard drive space available and display it on the screen.
- Playback feature
will display all files after clicking the Playback Icon. To open a file, double click on the file. The software will display the first picture in this file and allow the user to access the following functions:
- Play
- Fast forward/rewind
- Frame-by-Frame advance forward and backward
- Pause
- Beginning/End of file
- Stop
- Print (prints the current frame to a standard colour Inkjet printer)
- Bitmap (saves the current picture for enhancement or e-mailing)
- For each frame the software will display:
- Time the picture was taken
- Frame number
- Number of frames in sequence
- Start/stop time and date for file
- Site ID
The alarm relationship has been factory set so that when the alarm input is tripped, the system will automatically switch to Camera #1 and record at 15 fps for 2 minutes, then resume normal operation. This will turn the alarm indicator in the main screen on. A total of ten alarms can be saved. Any subsequent alarms will overwrite previous ones on a first-in-first-out basis.
